The Endless Search for Jean’s Cat

Unpublished novel. Joan, a 26-year-old programmer in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, happily married to Carla, becomes obsessed with finding Elena, the cat who has gone missing from the house. The search, ever more desperate, drags him into a downward spiral. The cat is the only thing tying Joan to reality, because the cat, in fact, never existed.
